Sideshow Imperial Shock Trooper

Imperial Shock Trooper with battle damage! WHY......... I've already gotten my hands on the Medicom Shock Trooper. Shall wait for the preorder on 11 June to decide.... hrrm....

The red-marked soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic were quartered on Coruscant and tasked with the protection of the Senate and other governmental facilities, as well as serving as guards and escorts for diplomatic envoys. Though such a role would suggest less exposure to frontline combat, extensive and well guarded training facilities on Coruscant served to keep the red-marked troops in fit fighting condition.

During the attack on Coruscant by the Separatists, the Shock Troopers emerged as one of the last lines of defense against the invading droid forces. These highly skilled troops, under the command of ARC-trained and promoted Commander Thire, were able to prevent many of the droids from demolishing some of Coruscant's most ancient and revered edifices, but they were unable to prevent General Grievous from kidnapping the Chancellor.

Commander Thire was later tasked by Emperor Palpatine to scour the lower levels of the Galactic Senate to find any traces of Jedi Master Yoda. He subsequently served as one of Palpatine's personal guards on Coruscant and during off-world trips. The Shock Troopers eventually became the basis of the Coruscant Guard, elite Stormtroopers tasked with providing security on the Imperial capital.

Kurenai by Keita

An incredible Gunpla (Gudam) modeller Keita has created using a Strike Noir kit a mix between Strike Gundam and Akatsuki. His works have been amazing and inspiring. I should seriously start gathering some experience by building my dust-covered gundams.

Up by Pixar

Another computer animated 3D film by Pixar Animation Studios. To be released in Singapore on 4th June 2009. Tickets nowadays costs an arm and a leg so maybe I'll wait for the DVD release.

The story is about Carl Fredricksen, a retired 78-year-old balloon seller. When Carl was a child, he met and eventually married a girl named Ellie who grew up in a small midwestern town. Ellie always dreamed of visiting South America, but they grew old together, and she died of unknown causes before she got a chance. Now, when developers threaten to move him into an assisted living home, Carl decides to fulfill his promise to Ellie. To accomplish this, he uses 10,000 balloons to make the house fly—but unwittingly takes a chubby eight-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell with him. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected foes, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the Venezuelan jungle (from Wikipedia).

Sideshow Crimson Cobra Commander

Another Comic-Con 2009 exclusive, this time it's the Crimson Cobra Commander. Sideshow had previously released the normal version of the Cobra Commander in 2008. Not getting this one since it's not really my cup of tea. However, waiting to see if they're releasing the Cobra Trooper with the red mask in the picture below. Might be interesting.

Star Trek

This is the eleventh Star Trek movie since it first started out in 1966. I've caught the Tv series now and then but never really caught on to the movies. This one however is pretty enjoyable. Will wait for the bluray version.

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III (Gunmetal)

A gunmetal version! This is so cool... but unluckily or luckily its an attendee version meaning only those attending the Comic Con 2009 in San Diego can pre-order, which by the way, has already been sold out. It is exactly the same as the Hottoys previous Mark III release, just a different finish.
