Mercedes AMG

Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commonly known as AMG, is a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz car company specializing in high-performance luxury cars.

AMG models typically have more aggressive looks, higher performances, better handling and better stability, and more extensive use of carbon fiber than their regular Mercedes counterparts. AMG models are typically the most expensive and highest-performance of each Mercedes series.

The letters "AMG" stand for Aufrecht, Melcher and Großaspach. AMG was founded as a racing engine forge in 1967 under the name AMG Motorenbau und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (AMG Engine Production and Development, Ltd.), by former Mercedes engineers Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher in Burstall an der Murr, near Stuttgart.

Brabus

Brabus, founded 1977 in Bottrop (Ruhr Area), Germany, is a high-performance aftermarket tuning company which specializes in Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach vehicles. Owned and founded by Prof. Bodo Buschmann in 1977, Brabus has since become the largest Mercedes tuner, other than Mercedes-AMG.

Brabus's primary focus is to achieve maximum engine performance through the increase of both horsepower and torque. Customers can either buy cars straight from Brabus or send in their Mercedes to be customized and/or overhauled. If a customer orders a car from Brabus, Brabus buys the particular car from Mercedes and then modifies it in-house according to the customer's requests. Brabus is known for providing very expensive tuning and custom solutions, making an "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it" scenario.

Brabus offers cosmetic changes such as low profile spoilers, bodykits, carbon fiber splitters, and multi-piece alloy wheels. More serious upgrades include racing LSDs, open racing exhaust systems, twelve-piston disc brakes, and engine remapping. However, most customers pay for complete engine overhauls for which Brabus has become famous. The company typically orders crate engines from AMG and completely redesigns them.

Brabus engines range from small 200 horsepower (150 kW) K4 blocks for SLK roadsters and CLK-Class to 730 horsepower (540 kW) twin-turbo blocks for the CL-Class, CLS-Class, G-Class and S-Class.

Subaru BRZ

Sports Subaru's 2.0-liter flat-four engine with Toyota’s “D-4S” direct injection and port injection technology, which is rated at 200-horsepower and 205Nm (151 lb-ft) of peak torque.

Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox with a short stroke shift lever or an optional six-speed automatic with paddle shifts on the steering wheel, while the BRZ also gets a specially tuned electronic stability control. The basic model will ride on 17-inch wheels wrapped around 215/45R17 rubber.

Range Rover Evoque

The Range Rover Evoque is a compact crossover SUV from Land Rover which went into production in July 2011.



The car was launched as two distinct models: the five-door Evoque and the three-door Evoque Coupé. Each model is available in three trim levels - Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. Land Rover markets the Pure as the minimalist version rather than the "base model" while the Prestige adds luxury options and the Dynamic focuses more on performance.

Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster

German tuner Brabus has released the second model teased yesterday, the SLS AMG Roadster package.

The 6.2-liter V8 engine received a new sports exhaust system that uses quad pipe with a diameter of 84 mm, as well as a new ECU map that allows it to offer 611 hp instead of its stock 571 hp.

We also get a Brabus Ride Control system that can lower the car whenever the driver wishes to and also comes with multiple damper settings. In addition to this, the supercar is fitted with a Front Lift System that can bring the front axle up by 50 mm when the vehicle has to go over a speed bump, for example.

The Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG rides on Monoblock F “Platinum Edition” forged rims which come in a 20-inch size for the front axle and in a 21-inch size for the rear one. The German supercar is dressed in a carbon fiber aero package that can be ordered in a high-gloss or in a matte finish.

This was one of the cars in consideration when I was looking around for my first car. Currently out of production, you can still get the Tuscani GK or the Tuscani GK FL which is the face lifted version. A 3 year old, 2008, model would cost around $60,000.00 on sgcarmart.

Here, you'll get the 2.0 litre model, 16V DOHC (Dual overhead cam) CVVT (Continuously variable value timing) engine, power of 143 Bhp @ 6000rpm and torque of 186Nm @ 4000 rpm. Allowing 100Kmh in 8.7 secs for manual (10.0 secs for auto).
